We want to offer your school an effortless picture day experience. From the beginning with open and clear communication, our picture day workflow, parent communication, and our online proofing and ordering system - we strive to give our partner schools an easy, stress-free, and enjoyable experience. We work with a limited number of schools each year so that we can provide "hands-on" customer service to our partner schools.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
There is no need for parents to pre-order!
After picture day, parents will receive a private link and unique access code to view their child's images. After viewing, parents decide which images they'd like to purchase.
In order to schedule your picture day, the first step is to contact us for a chat about the process and to discuss your school's needs. After we sign an agreement, your picture day is on the calendar!
We primarily photograph students outdoors, preferably under some type of shade. We'll work together in the weeks prior to school picture day to determine the best possible places for photographing students. Safety is our first priority, second to ideal lighting conditions, achieved by the use of natural sunlight.
Before picture day, we email all parents/guardians and provide them with the information they need for picture day. They also receive our direct contact information so that we may handle all parent questions and concerns directly.
On picture day, we will arrive approximately 30 minutes before classes begin to set up and prepare. Staff/parent volunteers help bring the students to have their picture taken and return them to class. All we need from you are student/staff rosters and email addresses. Email addresses are only used for picture day communication and to send each parent/guardian a private and secure gallery of their child.
Within 10 days after picture day, parents/guardians will be emailed their child's personal access code and link to view and order images. All prints and products are mailed directly to the student's home and digital files are delivered via email.
Your school will receive digital images of each child and staff member that was photographed. You may use these images for the yearbook, ID cards, programs, and other school needs.
DMV School Portraits are not just for traditional schools! We work with daycares, youth programs, homeschool groups, and churches. If you'd like to know if we are able to work with your group, just ask!
Yes! Our signature style is outdoor portraits, however, if your school prefers portraits with a backdrop instead of outdoor images, we have options for you as well. During our consultation, we will discuss which option is best for your school. Below are a few of our backdrop options. We also offer a clean, white or grey option.
Our entire system is hosted online. Proofs are released for viewing through an online link, and all orders and payments are processed online. That's right! Our partner schools don't have to worry about order forms, handling money, or delivering prints! Our online system takes care of everything. And, if there is an issue along the way, we handle all parent questions.
We offer our modern school portraits at absolutely no cost for schools! We appreciate you collaborating with us and are grateful to work with you.
All DMV School Portraits team members are vaccinated and boosted, and most portraits are taken outside in the fresh air. If your school has scheduled indoor portraits- all team members will wear masks. All ordering is processed online and your print products are shipped directly to your door.
